About the Author:
Dawn Schildhorn is an Attorney licensed to practice law in multiple states. After having children, she left a successful legal career to become a stay-at-home mom.
When her kids entered highly competitive high schools, she realized that great grades and standardized test scores were not enough to get them admitted to selective colleges. So, she used her training as a prosecutor to prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, what it would take to weigh the odds in their favor.
After conducting extensive and exhausting research, Dawn identified the 12 things that matter most in the college admission process, and formulated corresponding steps for getting admitted.
She used this information to help her own high school students, and many others over the past six years, reach their seemingly impossible goals of getting accepted to Ivy League and other selective colleges, some with generous scholarships. This book reveals her “secrets” to tipping the scale in your favor and getting admitted.
Dawn is now enjoying her third career as the highly- respected private college counselor known as “The Ivy Counselor.” To date, she has helped lots of students get admitted to hundreds of colleges, including Ivy League and other selective schools, many with generous merit awards.
